Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to book tickets?

  • You need to be a Kent resident
  • You need to be over 18
  • You need to have a printer
  • Check that you are free on the day. As tickets are limited please do not waste yours by not using them as this would be unfair to others who would have liked to visit the attraction.

What if I don’t have a printer?

  • Your local Tourist Information Centre will be happy to help and print out a voucher for you
  • To find your nearest Tourist Information Centre click here

How do I find an attraction I want to visit?

You can search for an attraction in different ways:

  • Attraction Name – type in the name of the attraction and press Search Now
  • Town – select the town and press Search Now and it will show you all the attractions in a 15-20 mile radius
  • Browse and Book - will show you all the attractions involved in a random order
  • Over 100 attractions are participating in the Big Day Out - so there is plenty of choice but not every place is participating so you need to check

What if more than two people in the household want to come?

  • You can only apply for two tickets per household. This is because we want as many Kent residents to benefit from the day as possible
  • More people are welcome to visit the attraction but will have to pay the entry price

What if I forget to print my voucher?

  • Don’t worry, you will receive an email confirmation of your booking, which you can print as an alternative
  • If you do not receive an email confirmation, you can contact Canterbury Visitor Information Centre on 01227 378100 from Monday to Saturday 10.00am – 4.00pm and they can look you up on the database and email your voucher to you. Alternatively you can email bigdayout@ktanet.co.uk

What do I need to do before I visit the attractions?

  • Check the Terms and Conditions
  • Check the opening times of the attraction
